# Import and export

Move wishlists from another app, export them for your own reports, and copy your settings to another store. Everything is under **Settings → Data** and **Settings → Configuration**.

## Import wishlists

Use this to bring wishlists over from another app.

1. Export your wishlists from the old app as CSV.
2. Rename the columns to match the table below.
3. Open **Settings → Data**, choose the file and click **Import**.

| Column | Required | Value |
|---|---|---|
| `customer_id` | Yes | Shopify customer ID. |
| `product_id` | Yes | Shopify product ID. |
| `variant_id` | No | Shopify variant ID. Leave empty to save the whole product. |
| `list_name` | No | Name of the list. Leave empty to use the customer's first list. |
| `added_at` | No | When the product was saved, such as `2026-05-01`. |

```csv
customer_id,product_id,variant_id,list_name,added_at
7012345678901,8123456789012,45123456789012,,2026-05-01
7012345678901,8123456789013,,Birthday,2026-06-12
```

Column names ignore case, and IDs can be plain numbers or Shopify IDs such as `gid://shopify/Product/8123456789012`. Files can be up to 20 MB.

The import runs in the background; items show up under **Customers** within a few minutes. Items that are already in a list are skipped, so running the same file twice is safe. Rows beyond the [limits](https://wishlist.themivo.com/docs/limitations#other-limits) of 20 lists and 500 items per list are skipped. Guest wishlists can't be imported.

## Export wishlists

Click **Export items** under **Settings → Data**. The file has one row per saved item:

`shopper_id`, `customer_id`, `email`, `list_id`, `list_name`, `product_id`, `variant_id`, `quantity`, `added_at`

Guests have a `shopper_id` but no customer ID or email. Dates are in ISO 8601, in UTC.

Exports from **Products** and **Analytics**, and files for customer data requests, are listed in the same place. Download them within 7 days.

## Copy settings to another store

Under **Settings → Configuration**:

- **Export configuration** downloads a JSON file with your appearance, translations, hide rules and notification settings and templates.
- **Import configuration** loads that file in another store. It replaces the current settings.

Email credentials, such as your SMTP password and Klaviyo or Omnisend key, aren't included. Set them again in the new store.
