Getting started

Wishlist adds a save button to your product pages and product cards, a header icon with a count, and a wishlist drawer or page. Everything is free, with no plan limits.

1. Turn on the app embed

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Open App embeds and turn on Wishlist.
  3. Save the theme.

The embed loads the storefront script and your settings. Nothing else shows up until it is on.

2. Place the buttons

  • Product page: add the Wishlist button block to your product template, or let the app insert it automatically next to the add-to-cart button.
  • Product cards: the heart icon is inserted on collection and search pages. If your theme uses custom markup, set the card selectors under Appearance → Advanced.
  • Header: add the Wishlist counter block to the header, or turn on the floating launcher in the app embed.

3. Match your brand

Open Appearance in the app to pick a preset, accent color, icon and corner radius. The preview updates as you type. Save to publish your changes to the storefront.

4. Choose a wishlist view

Shoppers can open their list in a drawer or on a full page. The setup wizard that opens when you install the app lets you create a wishlist page or pick an existing one; it adds the wishlist to the page content, so it works with any theme. You can run that step again from Set up the wishlist page on the Home checklist.

Prefer the theme editor? Add the Wishlist page block to a page template, assign it to a page such as /pages/wishlist, and set that path under Appearance → Wishlist view.

5. Set up notifications (optional)

Under Notifications, turn on back in stock, price drop, low stock and reminder emails. Emails only go to signed-in customers who accepted email marketing.
