Hide rules
Hide rules hide prices or wishlist buttons on chosen products. Use them for products sold on request, or for items you don't want shoppers to save. Set them up under Settings → Hide rules.
Add a rule
- Click Add rule.
- Under Applies to, choose what the rule matches:
- Specific products: pick products.
- Products in collections: pick collections.
- Products with tags: enter product tags.
- Product types: enter product types.
- Tick Hide price, Hide wishlist button, or both.
- Save.
Separate tags and types with commas. Matching ignores upper and lower case. A product that matches any active rule is affected.
Click Pause to turn a rule off without deleting it, and Resume to turn it back on.
What gets hidden
| Where | Hide price | Hide wishlist button |
|---|---|---|
| Product page | The price is hidden. | The button isn't shown. |
| Product cards | The price is hidden. | The heart isn't shown. |
| Wishlist drawer, popup and page | "Price available on request" is shown instead. | Products already saved stay in the list. |
On product pages, the price is hidden before the page appears, so it doesn't flash on screen first.
Hide rules don't change:
- the cart and checkout, where the price is shown and charged as usual
- quick views and other theme sections outside the product page and product cards
- the add-to-cart button
- the price in the page source and in
/products/<handle>.js
Use hide rules to change what shoppers see, not to keep prices private. For wholesale or customer-specific prices, use Shopify B2B. See Limitations.
If prices still show on product cards, check the Price and Product card selectors under Appearance → Advanced. See Selectors.
